Julius Gay record of surveys and journal, 1855-1883.

A record of land surveys throughout Connecticut and a measurement of water use by Delaney & Munson of Unionville, Connecticut, 1872. Also a journal, 1871-1883, in which Gay noted the weather, his surveying, travel, guests, his own health, repairs or improvements he made around the house, and letters he wrote. In 1871-1872 he wrote daily entries, but trailed off significantly in 1873. Gay was the town historian for Farmington, Connecticut.
